Brian Kelly, DO
Dr. Kelly is a Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the University of Michigan Medical School and Medical Director for the Division of Orthotics and Prosthetics in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The Michigan Medicine O&P Center is the largest in the country with over 70 employees to support the Michigan Medicine mission. Dr. Kelly has cared for people that suffer from amputations, trauma, spinal cord injury, stroke, and traumatic brain injuries for over 20 years. Throughout his career, Dr. Kelly has lectured internationally and nationally, sharing his passion on amputee care and prosthetic science. He has published numerous articles, chapters for others and has his own dedicated textbook on prosthetics for the field. Dr. Kelly is involved in numerous grants with his collaborators form the Departments of Kinesiology, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Biomedical Engineering for prosthetic research which includes funding from the Department of Defense, Army Research Office, and National Institutes of Health. |
